Rupesh K. Dave, M.D.
Dr. Dave completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, Birmingham, AL (07/2004 to 06/2007). He served as a Chief Resident during the final year of his residency training.
He pursued a fellowship training in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Scott & White Memorial Hospital- Texas A & M University HSC College of Medicine, Temple, Texas (7/2007 to 6/2010). He served as a Chief Fellow during his final year of fellowship. To pursue his passion for understanding sleep disorders, he went for an additional fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio (7/2010 to 6/2011).
His special interests include diagnosis and management of Bronchial Asthma, COPD/Emphysema, Lung Cancer, Pleural disorders, Pulmonary embolism/ Deep vein thrombosis, Obstructive sleep apnea/Central Sleep Apnea, Parasomnias, Narcolepsy and Restless leg syndrome.
He is proficient in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) guided Bronchoscopy for mediastinal lymphnode sampling to diagnose and stage lung cancer. This is currently offered at Gwinnett Medical Center, Lawrenceville.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Dave joined Georgia Pulmonary Group in July 2011. He is accepting new patients for general pulmonary and sleep disorders at our Snellville and Lawrenceville offices.
He serves as a pulmonologist on the Lung Cancer Screening Program and on Infectious Disease Committee at Eastside Medical Center.
