Dr. Siore is originally from Ethiopia, where he was a Professor of Medicine and Director of Critical Care in a large teaching hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He came to the USA in 1997 as a Senior Fulbright Professor to the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has redone Residency and Fellowship training at Atlanta Medical Center, and Fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, GA
He joined Georgia Pulmonary Group in 2005 and served as Chairman of Department of Medicine, President of Medical Staff (Chief of Staff) at Eastside Medical Center. He is also a member of the Board of Directors at Eastside Hospital. In addition, he teaches Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine to the community.
He has published several scientific publications in medical journals, including prestigious journals, such as: The New England Journal of Medicine, Quarterly Journal Medicine, The Lancet, Lung Cell Molecular Physiology, and the American Journal of Physiology.
His interest includes Asthma/COPD, Sleep Apnea, Sepsis, and Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
He married a woman from the same high school he attended, and they have been married for twenty four years. They are blessed with three beautiful daughters. The older one is a Neuroscience graduate from Duke University (Blue Devil), and is currently in medical school.
In his free time, Dr. Siore enjoys his Church, health education, soccer, exercising, and above all, spending time with his family.
